WHEN I completed Graduate School, immediately after I was diagnosed with severe aggressive debilitating no cure disease. MADE A CHALLENGE: The Disease vs Life/Career. Started 1st Career job and six months later had 1st major surgery (total 11 surgeries with complications & life long effects). Bounced back as I was young & 26. Company downsized so department closed. Opportunity to start new career - severance pay helped me through it. Changed career positions after moving up ladder with goal of living and working in NYC. That came to fruition but the timing was terrible. I had ninth surgery with very serious complications and was not expected to live. I’m living on borrowed time now. I LOVED everything about NYC, my beautiful apartment in a niche tiny area just across Brooklyn Bridge. I LOVED, LOVED the company, the positions, my 1931 Art Deco apartment with many original details and the city!! Had two more surgeries (10 & 11) and this time I could NOT bounce back. Company created a new job for me and I loved it! Unfortunately, I spent every evening, every weekend, every 9-10 day “staycation” sleeping as I was so exhausted. I had difficulty keeping up with groceries, laundry, housekeeping and all the grooming appointments I had for my job. After a very difficult thought process, I made decision to step down to store level job and return to Boston. My three years there were filled with hospitals, Urgent Care, procedures and since I worked retail the hours (three different schedules) it was killing me and I was barely hanging on. Got a huge promotion to run the education initiative in Boston’s largest store. I then made decision to decline and decided to start the disability process while staying with one parent who met all the requirements (needed store there - I opened that store four years earlier). Well this turned out to be a nightmare living with the woman who birthed me as she was jealous of me and treated me horrifically. Was living with a highly toxic person I didn’t recognize. She kicked me out after year and here I was all alone in the most wretched state & city without anyone to help me. All communication was cut off permanently. I’ve tried to return to NYC but post-Covid-19 rents turned into bidding wars and brokers were greedy because higher the rent the higher commission/broker fees.// Fast forward to the 1st photo “BEFORE” taken earlier this year. I was beyond shocked at what I saw! Grief like an Arctic glacier moving over lands left damage across my face, body, muscle wasting, dehydrated (hospital/ER visits) and didn’t get out of bed, damage. Seeing that BEFORE photo I recalled MUSELY as we would recommend the brand to our clients who needed a prescription strength active ingredient treatment products. So I decided to check it out. The Spot Cream is slow to start (or I’m very eager) but those recent 13 years of living where it’s bone dry year round, high altitude with very intense sunlight that was killing my skin. I have a love of sunscreen but in grief I didn’t think about it even though I was inside all the time and black thermals on living room windows. I wore spf 100 everyday in NYC/BOSTON plus a few years here. [SPF labeling rules have changed, so spf 50 is the highest rating a brand can claim but if labeled above 50+, they have to PROVE it. Not all brands have complied with the rule. Know that SPF 50 is highest. Mineral SPF 45 blocks ~ 97% of sun’s rays; mineral SPF 100 blocks ~ 98% sun’s rays]. I then decided to add more products like: THE CELL REPAIR SERUM (EXOSOMES!! You’ll love them!). THE AGING CELL REPAIR; THE SPOT PILL (it’s an extra boost with The Spot Cream and also the new THE AGE WELL supplement. Changes intensified. I then added THE ESTROGEN BOOST and THE BODY CREAM. BAM! The Body Cream started to break up and lighten the brown spots on back of legs plus my arms and hands. I LOVE their MINERAL Sunscreen and spf 40 is terrific, just remember to reapply. The cleanser is nice but would love bigger sizes. Have made plea for larger face wash; you’ll love it. At the 60 Day Mark “AFTER” Photo (wearing lip gloss) I’m amazed by what I see. It’s about to be 70 weeks and for myself I’ll take a photo.//Taking care of yourself involves many different types of things. For me, I have several, but it was the realization of how I had let myself go and how I succumbed to Grief by just existing. I hate where live. I reassessed my budget and calendar to space out my refills to still having product but not all refills in one month. My budget probably isn’t made for what I spend but these products I’ve purchased have CHANGED something in me.
