Tea-tree oil Three times a day dab a drop of tea tree oil on blemishes. This will discourage infection and speed healing (5% tea tree oil is as effective as a 5% benzoyl peroxide solution)
For the acne that comes at that time of the month drink two cups of chaste berry tea a day. The herb helps regulate female hormones though this remedy may take two months to work. Do not drink copious amounts of the tea to hasten the results for it could make skin look worse!
Vinegar and lemon juice contain acids that can help flush out pores. Just dab either on pimples with a cotton ball
An old folk remedy for healing pimples is a mixture of honey and nutmeg. Mix one teaspoon of powdered nutmeg and one teaspoon of honey and apply it to the pimple leave it on for 20 minutes then wash off (results differ for different people there is no proof this will work for everyone)
Think zinc! People with acne tend to have lower than normal zinc levels. You will need high doses of zinc between 200 to 600 milligrams daily so take under a doctors supervision
