I thought this was one more gimmick that would make my skin smell and feel good. As I have passed the “big” birthday, I wanted to get serious. I took the plunge and bought a regimen. I’m aging in reverse! It is really working! My skin is stronger and so very soft. The greatest thing is that it does not cause breakouts or milia. Love!

The Cell Repair Serum — frequently asked questions

What are exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny, naturally occurring messengers that help cells repair and regenerate. In skincare, they support collagen production, improve hydration, and enhance healing — promoting smoother, healthier, more youthful skin.
Why are exosomes in my treatment?

Musely uses exosomes in select skin and hair treatments to boost your results.

  • In skin care, exosomes support collagen production, hydration, and cell repair — promoting smoother, healthier, more youthful-looking skin.
  • In hair care, exosomes help stimulate follicles, reduce inflammation around the scalp, and support a healthier growth environment. They enhance the effectiveness of your hair treatment by signaling cells to repair and regenerate which is especially helpful for thinning or damaged hair.

These exosomes work alongside proven medical-grade ingredients to give your treatment an extra boost.

Are Musely's exosomes ethically sourced?
Absolutely. They are derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which are lab-engineered from fully consented, ethically sourced adult donor tissue. There are no live stem cells or genetic material in your treatment — just the helpful proteins.
Can they change DNA or cause illness?
No. Our exosomes are free of DNA, mRNA, oncogenes, and other risk factors. They're thoroughly purified, clean, and do not pass on anything from donors.
What is exosome serum used for?

Exosome serum is used to support skin repair and skin rejuvenation. People often add it to a skincare routine when skin looks dull, uneven, tired, or visibly stressed by age, dryness, or environmental exposure. A well-formulated exosome serum can help support smoother-looking texture, healthier-looking tone, and a stronger-looking skin barrier, so skin looks more resilient over time.

The Cell Repair Serum is designed for full-face use and is often used as part of an anti-aging routine. It can help support a fresher-looking appearance by supporting healthy collagen levels, improving the feel of rough texture, and helping skin look calmer and more refined.

How often can I use exosome serum?
Use The Cell Repair Serum exactly as directed by your Musely dermatologist. In general, this serum is used at night. If you are new to exosome skincare, or if you have sensitive skin, start every other night so your skin can adjust. Once your skin is tolerating it well, many people can increase it to nightly use. After applying the serum, wait a few minutes and follow with a plain moisturizer. During the day, use a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, since active skincare can make skin more sensitive to sunlight.
How do I add exosome serum to my skincare routine?

A simple exosome skincare routine looks like this:

At night:

  1. Wash with a gentle cleanser.
  2. Let skin dry fully for 2 to 4 minutes.
  3. Apply one pump of serum to the face, avoiding the eyes and other sensitive areas.
  4. Wait about 5 minutes.
  5. Apply a moisturizer to help support hydration and the skin barrier.

In the morning:

  1. Cleanse gently.
  2. Apply moisturizer.
  3. Finish with SPF 30+.

If your skin runs dry or sensitive, pair your routine with a rich moisturizer that supports the skin barrier. If your skin runs oily or combination, use a lighter moisturizer. Many people also like barrier-supportive ingredients such as hyaluronic acid in the rest of their routine for added hydration.

Is exosome serum good for all skin types?

Exosome serum can fit many skin types when it is used correctly and when the formula matches your skin needs. Normal, dry, combination, oily, and mature skin may all be able to use an exosome serum, but the routine should be adjusted based on sensitivity.

If your skin is dry, reactive, or easily irritated, start slowly and use a gentle moisturizer to help support the skin barrier. Do not apply to broken, infected, sunburned, or actively irritated skin unless your dermatologist tells you to do so.
