I've used a tretinoid in the past. Some can be very harsh on your skin. It is typical to have a breakout when you first start with peeling and red skin. I did have a small breakout but the formula was gentle enough to not cause the painful red skin and peeling. I'm about 6 weeks since starting the treatment and my skin seems to have adjusted. My skin is smooth and glossy.
