  • Quitting smoking by going cold turkey is harder for someone who's smoked longer. If you've only be smoking for 2 years like i have then its rather easy!

  • After only 20 minutes your blood pressure is back to normal!

  • after 8 hours nicotine and carbon monoxides levels are reduced to half of what they were when smoking!

  • after 24 hours carbon monoxide levels will be eliminated from the body and your lungs start to clear!

  • After 48 hours, CONGRATULATIONS! your body is now nicotine free and you'll notice how your sence of smell and taste have improved!

  • after 72 hours breathing becomes easier and you have more energy!

  • going cold turkey is where you just stop smoking all together! warn your family and friends and do it at a time where you can stay inside all weekend. try to keep yourself busy by exercising, doing work (nothing too stressful), sleeping and maybe have a pig out!

  • get rid of everything that will encourage you to smoke and if you have an irge to smoke breathe deeply or do some yoga as the craving only lasts 10 minutes! you will find it to be hard and you will have triggers but just think about the money you will save!

  • create a little piggy bank or money jar and put all the money you'd spend on cigarettes in there along with small change, after a few months open it out and treat yourself! you'll be surprised the amount you've saved!

  • i've gone 11 days (wrote this on the 11th day) and its truly been the best choice i've made this year! i've chewed gums (normal not nicotine) and had lolly pops and its really helped!
