  • Congratulations, if you're reading this than you probably passed your driving test and want to learn more about driving. if not thats okay to still want to learn more too, and that's ok too :)

this is just so basics that maybe you already knew, or may be something you didn't .

  • firstly, driving is a huge responsibility. it's important to follow the law when driving and to make sure that you study what to do in different situations.

    so let's begin. ..

1.) Defensive driving - it's important to be defensive by watching out for other cars when learning to drive. Not everyone is going to follow the law and not everyone will be the nicest driver. in fact, some drivers can even be total ******!

  • 2. stopping tips :

when learning to stop at first you may do a hard stop and may even hit your body on the back of the seat. if this happens then try gradually stopping before a stop sign .

it's important to slowly press the gas pedal befor getting to a stop.

    - when arriving at a stop sign the person who stopped first gets to go first.

    - if both you and another car arrive at the stop sign at the same time then the person on the right has the right to go first.

  • 3. mirrors-

it's important to check your mirrors constantly. checking them allows you to see the distance of the car behind you or even see anything else important.

mirrors should be adjusted before getting onto the road.

each mirror adjustment should be applied when a driver is changed or when it is hard to see .

when looking at the mirror you just want to do a quick glance. it's important to look out them frequently but you don't want to take to long because you do need to see in front of you.

  • 4. turning -

when turning it is important to always use a turn signal. A turning signal is important as it allows the people behind you to slow down. If you didn't use it the people behind you don't have enough reaction time to slow down and could hit your car.

when turning make sure to slow down gradually, to fast in a turn could cause your body to move in that direction.

use both hands to turn, it may look easy the first few times but trust me you don't want to misjudge your ditch as the driveway.

A turn signal should be applied atlest 100 ft from a turn. with this distance it is ...

  • length before you're neighbours driveway and your house.

The distance if you are unable to tell
    would be used when answering.
-does the people behind me have enough time to slow down?
-can I be able to gradually turn?
-do I have enough space ?
-am I going to miss the driveway?

  • 5. -Car insurance

this is a big tip as no-one probably told you that you have to pay each month to be allowed to drive your own car. It's true it's called car insurance. their are many diffrent options as to who you pay to drive you're car. their is allstate , geico, statefarm etc.

The best thing to do is get what you call a quote, a quote is when you contact and compare prices on who to determine to go to.

when starting to get an insurance policy of at all possible way it is cheaper to get on you're family or parents plan. Rather than being more pricey getting you're own policy.

  • what happens if I don't pay insurance? not paying means not driving. it is illegal and you could lose you're license or may even go to jail!

but don't stress everyone has to pay for insurance, and their coulr even be a way to get it cheaper..?? you can ask you insurance place about any deductions they do .

  • well unfourtantely that's all of what I can thing of for know.

if you read this because you wanted to learn something new or found any of this interesting please feel free to like it comment :)!!!

    Thank you :)!
