homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream without maker

1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2-1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
1 Tb. pure vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate syrup (makes it sweeter and less rich)
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 c. chocolate pieces (baking chips or dark chocolate
before whisking the heavy whipping cream, put the bowl and beaters in freezer. this helps the cream peak faster and easier.
mix all ingredients expect the whipped cream and chips together.
beat the cream until it peaks. then use a spatula to whisk in with the other ingredients, then add the chips
put into a 9x5 loaf pan, a freezer safe container. make sure you put plastic wrap over the ice cream then put the lid on it. it reduces the chances to get freezer burn. let it sit for 5-7 hours before serving.
