  • Sunless tanning oils are even better than lotions in my opinion because there is even less of a chance to have streaks. Less oil is needed to cover your entire body than lotion ounce per ounce. It is quick to spray on and rub in after your shower. This recipe makes1gal of sunless tanning oil

  • Ingredients

    3/4 Gallon of Water
1 pound of Fresh Carrots (with peels on)
    2 cups of Brown Sugar

[you also need an empty spray bottle to pour the finished product in, you can find them at any dollar store]

  • Instructions:
    Cut carrots into thin slices
    Bring water to a boil
    Add carrots & brown sugar
    Simmer for 3 hours
Turn off stove & let cool
Pour through a strainer to remove the liquid -from the clumps
Pour self tanner into spray bottle
Apply at least 2x a wk to maintain color

  • Tips:

-If you want to get the best results for your homemade oil, as you are straining the carrots, apply a little pressure to get all of the liquid out of them.

-Make sure there are no pieces of the carrot in your tanning solution or it will clog your spray bottle and not come out properly.

  • Post pics of your beautiful new skin I'd like to see how it turns out!
