You Can File Complaints and Get Action Using Social Media? One good way to use social media tools is for protesting or filing personal complaints. Most brands have a Twitter or Facebook account. Some have a few and one is usually dedicated to customer service.
Voicing your opinion on these channels work for a few reasons:1. The science behind social media is just as powerful as the fun. By posting public comments about your issue you allow for others to join in - possibly opening the floodgates of negative feedback for the brand.
Brands don't want this and will address your concerns quickly.2. Also when you complain, and friends join in, sharing or liking, your comment can be seen on search engines. This means that when searching for the brand on Google, for example, those bad comments are shown right alongside their very expensive web properties. For example, when complaining about the quality of a dress, if others search for that dress they'll think twice about buying after seeing your comments.
Brands don't want this and will address your concerns quickly.3. Brands don't want to be seen as having bad customer service. What better of a way to be seen than social media? They will respond quickly to forego the appearance of not being a responsive and caring brand. You Win!
