What Works For Me, Could Work For You!(:
Health & Fitness
To elaborate on my original tip regarding my weight loss journey (which is still in process) these are things that worked for me and could help many of you in your journey!
#1. Plateau- I reached this a couple times. this is that extremely frustrating point in your weight loss journey when all of a sudden you just stop losing weight yet you're being just as good as you ever have. This is because your body adjusts to all your patterns. My doctor recommended this to me, and I thought he was confused. But I tried it and literally a day or 2 later like 5 lbs fell off!
Have a full on cheat day. Eat your heart out, he'll make yourself sick so maybe you won't want it later on. This kick starts your metabolism.
#2. ALWAYS include some weights in your workout. This way you will gain muscle, therefor you'll be burning calories even when you're plopped in front of the tv!
#3. PLAN PLAN PLAN. This is one thing I failed at and it held me back from losing weight so much quicker. At the very least, you should have all the ingredients you need for the weeks meal.
#3. Got the munchies? Take a shot of apple cider vinegar. Not only does it actually have a lot of health benefits including speeding up your metabolism but it RUINS my appetite! You get the idea... 😉
#4. Don't deprive yourself of what you love. Just only eat half! If you have some real self control, try out the 3 bite rule. 3 bites then throw it out! Or give it to someone else (:
#5. Stop weighing yourself so much and try just using a tape measure!
Women should be generally 32 inches or less and 35 inches for men.
- especially if you do weight training, the scale won't go down and it may even go up. But that's muscle gain! You are smaller believe me.
#6. Use a pedometer! If you're under 10,000 steps a day then you need to get off your rear end!
#7. Always have low calorie snacks available at your leisure. Trust me.
#8. TAKE PICTURES!! Sometimes we don't see just how much weight we've actually lost because we look 50 times every day. I felt no different until I looked at a before and after picture side by side.
#9. Chia and flax seeds in any meal you can tolerate it in! Sooooo many health benefits.
#10. Try to stop eating around 7-8. Or at least 4-5 hours before you normally go to sleep.
