What To Do / Not Do Before / During A Basketball Match :)
I know it sounds silly but during warm up before the match TRY and make the shots, don't think you'll look silly if you miss because you won't improve. Especially if you are 20 and can't make a lay-up!:)
Don't eat crisps on the bench otherwise the coach won't play you!
Hydrate hydrate hydrate! Your body loses water through perspiration (sweat) so you need to stock up on water! Bring 2 water bottles, it's better to be safe than sorry! :)
Warm up! This includes;
Pulse raiser - eg jogging (this increases your muscle temperature and increases your heart rate)
Stretches - (this increases flexibility)
Skill specification - eg lay ups
The warm up helps get your body ready for the match :)
Also cool down! This can include light jogging and stretching, it helps your body get back to its resting rate :)
