What Does It Really Take To Get Abs?
Health & Fitness
SIX PACK ABS DON'T COME OVERNIGHT
The very first truth you must come to accept if you do want to get results with your six-pack ab training is the fact that abs are not going to come overnight. Unless you're starting at a very low body fat level already, you must be patient with the process as it will take some time.
Especially as you get leaner and leaner and near the very low levels you can expect that progress will become less and less dramatic. If you keep pushing it though, you will eventually arrive at the end goal.
1. A healthy diet is key to getting those nice abs you have always wanted. Did you know that abs are 70% healthy diet and actually only 30% gym time.
2. BEWARE of fad diets. You may not have given it much thought but your body is extremely smart. Your body will continually remember what foods and how much go in so that when you fad diet again you will not lose weight.
3. Calories should be taken in YOU SHOULD NOT stop eating completely. What happens when you stop eating is your body holds onto the fat and everything you end up eating will go toward your fat storage.
Those crunches you have been told to do over and over are really not going to do much for you. What you should do is interval and cardio training to lose the fat over your stomach so those gorgeous abs show. Try new exercises to shock your body you will be better results.
Water is a natural diuretic which means it will flush all the toxins out of your body. I know this seems crazy but to lose water weight you need to drink water. Your body will not hold onto the water when it knows you will have enough. As a bonus water will also make your skin look and feel healthy.
Did you know you should have at least half you body weight in ounces of water each day?
