Ways To Transform Your Outdoors🌳🌷
Home & Garden
We transformed this balcony using ideas you can easily apply to a a small patio or other outdoor space. The first step was choosing properly scaled furniture—like this modest-size table, loveseat and coffee table set, and chairs. Their warm brown hues contrast with colorful accents, including striped pillows that provided the lovely pallete used in the space, resin spots, an Allen + Roth striped area rug, and the vivid paint colors applied to the planter blocks on the wall.
Standout Stand The vibrant steel plant stand features an eye-catching design and adds dramatic color to the space. We topped it with an attractive Echeveria cutting and air plants.
Center Of Attention With its striking array of succulent plants, this centerpiece is also a conversation piece. Just spray-paint a terra-cotta saucer in Valspar Dark Night, and the. Fill it with soil, plants, and pebbles.
We chose plants that provide a soothing green backdrop and subtle hints of color. (A) Soft-pink Pentax bloom compliment our colorful decor but don't compete with it. (B) The leaves of a majesty palm allow plenty of natural light through and recall the stripes of the rug and pillows. (C) Delicate feathersgrass foliage shares space on a side table with low-maintenance jade and other succulents.
Building Blocks Make a wall wow with these painted planter blocks. Built from poplar with drilled holes for air plants (which require no soil), they form a customizable art display you can hang inside or out.
Open Bar Serve in style using a wall-mounted serving station featuring a drop-down door that doubles as a counter. When closed, the door matches the DIY wall art mounted above it—which we flanked with a pair of galvanizes-steel wall lights.
