Ways To Keep Your Pets From Overheating And Stay Cool During The Summer!🌞
Put ice in their water dish.
By putting ice in their water dish, it gives the brain a cooler effect when hitting their tastebuds (and cool water is always nice on A hot day☺️)
Wipe them down with a wet, cold washcloth.
Just run a washcloth under cold water, wring it out, and gently wipe them down. It gives the effect of a nice cool bath, but not so much water.
Also, to give this a better cooling effect, do a scratching motion (like you're scratching them, just with the cool washcloth under your fingers while your scratching them). Then its able to get to their skin easier and cool them down more. And all pets like to be scratched😌
Put a fan in the window.
If its cooler outside than it is in your house, have your fan blowing from the outside in, and your door open (to circulate the air throughout your house) Or, you could have your fan blowing from the inside out, blowing all the hot air in your house outside.
I would most likely put the fan in the room your pet in in the most. Even if you dont have a window, if you wipe them down with a washcloth and set a fan in their room, if their that over heated, they'll go in front of it. (My cat loves doing this😌👌)
If you have birds, you can keep them cool by lightly spraying them with room temperature water. I have 9 birds and do this often in the summer time and they LOVE it. You can use the classic spray bottle you see in salons.
Of course, *DONT SPRAY THEM IN THE EYES*
Just to clarify😌👍
Those are just a few ways to keep your pets cooler in the summer! I you try these and they work out for you i'd love to know😌 and if you have any other suggestions/questions, i'd love to hear them!☺️
