Way to prevent smearing when drawing with pencil

  • When drawing with pencil I always end up using my fingers to blend the directions of the pencil together. Problem 1: my finger gets more and more pencil dust. any other blending then results in drawing! Problem 2: borders simply dissapear

  • Drawing by pressing the stenched finger on paper: by doing this somewhere it dosn't matter your picture won't darken unnecessarily

  • Cover area you want to keep with a piece of paper when using a rubber..

  • tadaa!! you can cheat this way to get clean cuts(that's not the right expression, is it?)

  • draw from left to right if your righthanded and vice versa. if that's no option, cover area you support your hand on with a piece of clean paper

  • If nothing works (or you want to prevent smearing after successfully finishing your drawing) use Hairspray
notice that afterwards you should still be able to erase parts. Don't overdo it!
