Tips For Tanning Salon Newbies! #TipIt
Skin & Body
Summer is almost here so you know what that means. It's tanning season! If you want to try going to a tanning salon this summer here are some great tips if it's your first time.
EXFOLIATE! I love using an exfoliating towel in the shower. You can purchase this one from Ulta, and I know Walmart carries one from another brand. Your going to want to exfoliate in the shower the morning before or day before going to the tanning bed.
SHAVE! make sure you shave your legs or anywhere else you have hair on your body that will be exposed in the tanning bed!
Since it is your first time in a tanning bed it is best that you use their level 1 bed. The level 1 bed is the least powerful bed they have in the salon. Most salon staff recommend only tanning for 5 minutes your first time so you don't burn, and gradually increase time as you go.
TANNING LOTION! tanning lotion is important because it will not only protect your skin from the UV Rays, but can also have nice skin benefits. Bronzers help darken and accelerate your tan. Most tanning lotions are sold in salons. Millennium Tan-Solid Black 100x Dark Tanning Lotion
Designer Skin- Black 20x
EYE PROTECTION! Make sure you wear eye protection in the beds. The UV light can damage your eyes so always keep them closed with the glasses on. Most beds have a radio station so you won't be too bored
SHOWERING! After tanning, don't shower for at least four hours so that your color will fully develop.
