Tips For Flawless Skin

  • THE VERY FIRST STEP; figuring out your type of skin.
DRY SKIN; feels tight after cleansing and can suffer from roughness or flakiness, especially when exposed to cold weather or dry air.
SENSITIVE SKIN; it may become dry, itchy or irritated depending on the weather, your lifestyle and the products you use.
NORMAL SKIN; Your skin doesn't get oily, your pores are small, your skin tone looks even and you rarely suffer from breakouts.

  • COMBINATION SKIN; Combination skin means that your skin can be dry and oily. It might be flaky and rough around the edges, but oily along the t-zone.
BLEMISH-PRONE SKIN; Blemish-prone skin is just that - prone to blackheads, pimples and excess oil. Even though you try to keep it clean, it still suffers from breakouts.
OILY SKIN; Oily skin can become greasy and shiny-looking within an hour after washing. The oil may even seep through your make up and cause it to slide off.

  • WASH YOUR FACE; I'd say two to three times a day. This way you can remove all the dirt, oils and bacteria off your face. However, do not over wash it, as it could dry out your skin and make it look irritated and puffy.
Wash with warm water, then cold then close the pores.

  • USE A TONER; it's not a necessary step in skin are but it has so many benefits. It removes any remaining dirt, makeup and dead skin cells you may have missed whilst washing you face! Also, keeps skin damp so it's easier to absorb moisturisers etc.

  • APPLY MOISTURISER! No matter what skin type you are it's essential to moisturise. It keeps your skin hydrated and protects it. Which one you use very much depends on your skin type so it's a trial-and-error situation

  • EXFOLIATE! Must must must do this! It takes off all the old dead skin cells and leaves your skin feeling smooth and fresh. However, don't over scrub, as it will damage your skin! I'd suggest once a week, twice maximum.

  • REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP! It's so simple and easy to do yet there's a lot of women out there that don't do it! If it's left on overnight, the makeup will clog the pores, which will lead to breakouts and blackheads (and nobody wants those). On the subject of makeup- try and give your skin a day or two to 'breathe' with no makeup clogging everything up!
