Three Of The Most Common Household Products Make The Best Metal Polish In The World.
Home & Garden
Like Most people, I don't keep a bottle of tarnish remover or metal polish under my sink but, I do love to wear fake gold jewelry. I found I could make a tarnish remover and metal polish that works better than anything you can buy at a store.
bonus!! chances are you already have the ingredients in your kitchen.
Here they are: 1/2 cup salt 1/2 cup flour 1/3 cup White vinegar.
1. blend the dry ingredients (salt and flour) In a wide shallow container. 2. Place the items that are tarnished in the powder mixture making sure all items are covered by the powder. 3. Pour the vinegar into the container evenly so that it forms a paste.
4. Using a soft cloth rub each piece until the tarnish is gone. 5. Rinse off the mixture with cool water and dry each piece thoroughly. 6. enjoy the results.
The trick is that the salt works as a mild abrasive, and the vinegar is acidic enough to clean off the tarnish and restore your metal jewelry to it's former glory.
