  • 1. Get some lemonade (it doesn't have to be cloudy), and boil over the hob;

    2. Once boiled, pour into a cup. Add one teaspoon of honey (again it doesn't matter what honey), and stir into the lemonade.

    Ready to drink!

  • Did you know honey lays at the back of your throat and acts as a protective seal?

    1. Have one to two teaspoons of honey a day, until your cold goes away.

    Manuka honey is highly recommended as it contains natural medicine.

  • 1. Rub some Vicks on the bottom of a bowl. And put the kettle on to boil;

    2. Once the kettle has boiled, pour the water into the bowl just under halfway;

    3. Lean your head over the bowl (avoiding the boiling water) and place a towel over your head and the bowl leaving no gaps.

    This will help unblock your sinuses (and is also great for opening pours).

  • Great tips for using Vicks:

    1. You may be used to rubbing Vicks on your chest but be sure to include your back and your feet;

    Your feet?!?

    2. Did you know your feet and hands get cold very quickly? Adding Vicks to your feet warms you up from the feet up;

    This is best to do before you go to bed, to avoid walking around with sticky feet;

    3. To avoid sticking to the bedsheets get a pair of thick socks and sleep in them overnight;

    This will help you to sweat (which is good because you must sweat out a cold)!

  • 1. Be sure to keep warm and wrap up;

    2. Keep blowing your nose (using soft tissue for a happier nose), as it's better out then in;

    3. If your nose does become red sore, apply some Vaseline for ease.
