This recipe is tried and true- my favorite way to make PSF's every fall, with real pumpkin (unlike Starbucks). This is not a low-fat recipe so keep that in mind, but these don't hurt in moderation!

  • First, you'll need canned pumpkin. I like to use Libby's brand.

  • Next, you'll need some pumpkin pie spice for the mixture, and also some to garnish with.

  • You'll also need milk- either whole, 2%, skim, or even almond milk. I recommend unsweetened vanilla almond milk. In my recipe, I typically use whole milk.

  • To get your coffee fix, add in some strongly brewed black coffee. You can also opt for decaf!

  • To finish off the base mixture, you can use either simple syrup (which is a mixture of water and sugar- quick and easy to do) or use Torani syrup. I use the vanilla flavor. This will sweeten the mixture a bit so if you want it to be more/less sweet, adjust the amount you use to fit your liking.

  • Pumpkin Spice Frappe Recipe
    (Makes two medium sized frappes.)

    1/3 cup canned pumpkin
    1/3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    1/2 cup milk of your choice
    1/4 cup of strongly brewed black coffee
    2 2/3 oz of simple or Torani syrup

    Combine all five ingredients in a blender and blend/pulse until evenly mixed.

    Add in 1-2 cups of ice to the mixture, adding one cup at a time until the desired smoothness is reached.

    Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and sprinkle on a little bit of pumpkin pie spice.

    Now you're ready to enjoy your refreshing and soothing Autumn beverage for a fraction of the price! πŸŽƒ
