The Easiest Way To Grow Healthy Hair Naturally! MUST READ!
These days, most of us are on the quest for luscious, long locks.. But it isn't always easy. There's loads of oils and massages to promote hair growth but they rarely work as well as we want them to - that means time and money wasted for minimal results. If only there was a better way...
(For those who have taken this before and stopped, please read on anyway as you may find a solution)
What is it?
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is a vitamin that we consume from our diet and is also naturally produced by our intestinal bacteria.
What does it do?
Many people have found biotin supplements to increase hair and nail growth effectively.
Does it have any other benefits?
Hell yeah! It aids metabolism, has helped with weight loss, helps protect skin from the harmful effects of the environment and maintains proper function of the nervous system, to name a few!
Any side affects?
Some people have experienced acne breakouts and spots whilst using this supplement. HOWEVER, there is a reason behind this and there's a solution for if you started to break out while taking these. Don't panic if you're prone to breakouts, you can still take biotin, and for those who stopped taking it because of breakouts, read on...
The easiest way to help prevent the breakouts is by drinking a lot of water. But for some, this doesn't work, there is a better solution...
Biotin & breakouts...
Breakouts can be a side effect of taking this vitamin - this is because it can cause a relative vitamin B5 deficiency. Vitamin B5 (or pantothenic acid) is thought to regulate the barrier function of the surface layer on skin and can reduce acne lesions. Therefore, a deficiency can cause acne.
The deficiency occurs because both biotin and vitamin B5 are absorbed in the intestines via the same receptors, so if there's more biotin getting absorbed, less vitamin b5 will be absorbed.
To resolve this issue, try taking vitamin B5 supplements alongside the biotin.
Biotin can be taken as a tablet, or can be present in shampoos to aid hair growth.
So which is the best way to take it?
Biotin isn't absorbed through the skin very well so shampoos and other products will have limited benefits. For the best results, biotin should be ingested.
Many users have noted 10000mcg as the optimum dosage for noticeable hair growth, however if you're new to using the supplement, it's recommended you start out on a lower dose, such as 1000mcg, then work your way up.
Other hair growth tips:
- Keep your hair in good condition: Weekly deep conditioning treatments and hot oil treatments are good ideas.
- Get regular trims, only get the split ends off.
- Try the inversion method regularly: apply oil to your hair, put your head upside down and massage your scalp for a few minutes.
- Try to prevent breakage at all costs: don't brush hair when wet, avoid really tight updos, try not to bleach hair whilst in process of growing it out, comb hair with a wide tooth comb, etc.
