This diet is what diabetics follow to keep their blood sugar down. When a nondiabetic follows the same diet, they will lose weight. When my mom found out she was a diabetic she had to follow this diet and she lost a TON of weight.
What to eat:
It doesn't really matter what you eat as long as you follow the rules. Of course, when you eat foods with fewer calories you get faster results. It all depends on how fast you want to see results.
•Meals- You get to eat 40 carbs for each meal. That is three, 40 carb, meals where you get to eat whatever you want.
•Snacks- You get three,15 carb snacks a day. That might not seem like a lot, but when you look at healthier options instead of junk food it gets a lot easier to find a suitable snack.
Things to avoid- You need to avoid any foods or drinks with a lot of carbs. Anything with a bunch of sugar will also have a bunch of carbs. Pop, candy, bread, chips, and alcohol are just a few things that have a ton of carbohydrates. Look on the back of your food at the nutrition facts to see how many carbs a food has. You don't have to quit eating those foods completely, you just have to reduce how much you eat of it.
