Got an unbearably itchy scalp? Try this simple to make, homemade spray and you'll never have to be crazy itchy again! Read on to find out how!
  • What you need:

-Water (distilled works great, normal water is fine, I like using rosemary water which I will explain more in a bit.)
    -Tea tree oil
-Peppermint oil (I like the Black Castor Peppermint oil shown but it is heavy! Black Castor Oil is great to promote hair growth and the peppermint is an added bonus, as peppermint soothes the itchiness as well.)

As far as the rosemary water goes, it's so good for your scalp and hair and it's also natural and very easy to make. It's also another thing that can help soothe itchiness so, just an added bonus!

  • To make the rosemary water, you just take some sprigs of rosemary and add them to some distilled water. (I don't use distilled but it still works ok, distilled is just recommended since it's better quality.) I make mine in a big jar so I have a lot at a time, and I grew it in my garden last year so I had plenty to make! Let the jar sit for a day or two and shake it occasionally to mix it up. Make sure before you put it in a spray bottle, you strain out all the rosemary leaves so you don't clog and ruin your water bottle! (It happened to me, lol!)

  • I like using the water as a rinse too if my scalp is really bad. I will wash and condition as I normally do and then dump a bunch of my rosemary water, focusing on my scalp especially, and then I just leave it. I do not rinse it out! Not only does it make my scalp feel tons better, but it makes my hair look fantastic!

  • Once you have your water ready, whether it's the rosemary water or otherwise, just add a few drops of tea tree oil and peppermint oil to the bottle and shake well, then apply and feel the itchiness soothe itself right away! I fill this bottle, put 5-10 drops of tea tree oil and dump a few drops of peppermint oil. These oils are strong (and heavy in the castor oils case) and a little goes a long way! Be sure you shake it up before each use, since the oils normally sit at the top after they sit for a little while. Super easy, right? And the relief is immediate, it's amazing!
