  • Pumpkin Pie Spice Crisps for Sweet Pumpkin Pie Dessert Nachos


    Granulated sugar
    Pumpkin pie spice
    One 9-inch pie crust (I used Pillsbury)

  • Instructions

    In a small bowl, mix up sugar and pumpkin pie spice using a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio, depending on your taste. I went with 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice. Set sugar mixture aside.

    Now, using a 9-inch pie crust (store bought or your favorite from scratch pie crust), cut circles from the crust using a biscuit cutter or a large glass. I got about five large circles cut from the pie crust.

    Cut each pie crust circle into fourths. I also cut the pie crust scraps into crisps so there was very little waste.

  • Spread the crisps on a baking sheet (or a baking stone like I use) and spray lightly with non-stick baking spray. Sprinkle with sugar mixture and bake according to package/recipe instructions until crisp and golden brown.

    Allow to cool.

    One batch of pumpkin pie spiced pie crust crisps
    Three tablespoons of chopped pecans
    Three tablespoons of pumpkin spice caramel
    Three tablespoons of cream cheese frosting

  • Instructions

    Toasted pecans

    In a small skillet on medium heat, add the pecans and stir constantly.

    When the pecans are fragrant, remove from heat and allow to cool.

    Assemble the dessert nachos:

    Arrange the pie crust crisps on a large plate.

    Warm caramel in the microwave according to package directions.

    Warm frosting in the microwave in 15 seconds intervals until it reaches a pourable consistency.

    Drizzle pie crust crisps with caramel and frosting.

    Sprinkle with toasted pecans.
