  • Pigeon stretch:
This is one that I would recommend to do every day it is an easy but very useful stretch! It helps that if u are a beginner lean forward but as you do it more you can lean further back For an increase in flexibility.

  • Straddle stretch:
This helps a lot and works with different levels of flexibility (you could even do this whilst watching TV??) Do for around 30 seconds leaning to each side.

  • This is another variation of straddle stretch and still works well, especially for beginners. If you aren't advanced this may seem painful. But if you sit with your legs as wide as you can and then lean as far forward as you can. Once you have mastered this out your arms out in a t position.

  • If you master the previous stretch try pulling through from a straddle position to a laying down position. This will help your box/middle splits. Just another one to build up to as it is a more advanced stretch.

  • Pike:
The trick is to lean as far forward in a pike position and reach for your toes as you do it.

  • Hamstring:
This one is very useful and one of the best ones. This stretches your hamstring so that it is used to the split position. You can get a friend to push down your legs until it hurts, then relax and carry on, going further each time.

  • This one is great, make sure to force down with tight hips for the last few seconds of it this will not only help you get splits faster but also makes it easier to achieve over splits.

  • Those are some of the ones I used, but here are a few more just to help you stretch out for splits. I haven't tried some of the ones without explanations but you can try them, I might even add them in to my stretches.

  • I hope these helped, be sure to like and save! I upload various tips but am still a beginner so I don't post very often. But please follow?
