  • The only oil you should use when you're cooking is coconut oil or olive oil. Coconut oil is better though. It has vitamins and it is the good fat. Vegetable and canola etc, are a blend of a bunch of different types of oil and is NOT good for you. So try to stay clear of these oils even in prepackaged food.

  • DON'T EAT A BUNCH OF FRUIT. People say fruit is really good for you, and it is but not if you eat a lot! You should limit it to 1 or 2 servings a day. Fruit has a lot of calories and sugars, which sugars turn into fat. But don't get me wrong, fruit is a great pick me up. So, still eat fruit, just try to cut back on it.

  • Don't eat a ton of nuts. Again nuts are high calorie and high fat. They are also really easy to sit down and eat a whole tub of. So be careful!
