I absolutely love face masks, and go through various ingredients to find the perfect mask for each skin type. Today I came across an old recipe, seaweed!
Seaweed is incredible for your skin. It's packed with B vitamins and minerals, it's rich in iodine (which helps boost thyroid functions to improve your skin). It's a multi tasker! It cleans, exfoliates and detoxifies by drawing out excess fluid and toxins. Many people find that it helps with anti-aging, acne, and dermatitis. It also can help strengthen your scalp. Awesome! Now, let me tell you how to use it. ->
Seaweed is all you need! You can purchase nori at Asian food markets, or at health stores. It's better to get a raw kind instead of roasted, that way you can reap more benefits than you would with a processed, roasted kind. Both will work though.
There are two ways you can go about this.
1: Rip the nori into small strips, dip one at a time in the water and let it rehydrate for 5 seconds. (If you got the raw kind, it may take a little longer) Arrange the strips on your face like paper mâché.
2: This method is preferred for the raw seaweed, but works just as well for nori.
Grind up the seaweed in a coffee grinder until it becomes a fine powder. You can choose then to add it to french green clay, or just simply add water for a mask.

Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. Once the timer is up, peel it off and rinse. You won't see a miracle right away, of course, but you will notice that your skin is hydrated.
Follow up with your favorite moisturizer. You can do this mask 2-3 times a week.
