Root Beer Float Jelly Shots

posted in Food & Drink > Recipes

    1 cup root beer

3/4 cup vanilla or whipped cream
    flavored vodka

    1/4 cup water

  • 1.5 or 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (depending on how firm you prefer your shots)

    Whipped cream, for garnish

    Straws, for serving

First, pour the root beer in a small saucepan and sprinkle with gelatin.

Allow it to soak in a minute or two.

It will look all weird and alien-like.

  • Heat on low and stir until gelatin dissolves.

Pour in vodka and water and stir.

It may bubble up initially, but it'll settle down.

To make it taste more like a real root beer float, make sure to grab a vanilla or whipped cream vodka.

  • Pour mixture into shot glasses, filling about 3/4 to leave room for whipped cream later.

Place in the fridge and allow shots to set for 3-4 hours.

  • While shots are setting, cut straws so they'll fit in the glasses and stick out the top a little bit.

*Mine were slightly less than half a straw.

  • When ready to serve, insert straws into the side of shots and top with whipped cream.

    ONLY 21 AND OVER...

  • ENJOY!!!πŸ˜„
