Quick Broken Nail Repair Without Damage Or Glue!

  • Splitting, breaking and peeling nails are the worst. I have often battled with damaging nail glue, which rarely works, before finally giving up and filing down all of my nails and starting to grow them from scratch, until I discovered: you can do a safe, natural nail repair with a tea bag

  • Step 1

Find a paper tea bag (Tazo works best) and cut it open. Empty tea contents - if you have a loose tea strainer or filter, make some tea! Cut out a rectangle from the bag that is big enough to cover the damaged area, and the entire top half of your nail.

  • Step 2

Apply a base coat to your nail, and smooth the tea bag patch over the top half of the nail, making sure to fully cover the damaged area. Let dry.

  • Step 3

Apply a second base coat layer over the whole nail. The tea bag will turn translucent. Allow this layer to dry, and then file off any excess tea bag over the edge of your nail.

  • Step 4

Use a file to buff away the tea bag edge, so that it blends smoothly into your nail with no line or rough edge. When your nail is completely smooth, add a final base coat layer.

  • Step 5

Paint your nail(s) just like you normally would! Enjoy!
