These simple and delicious Tuna cheese melts will become a quick and easy favourite to ANYONE who tries them!!
πΊπΌπ΅πΊπΌπ΅πΊπΌπ΅πΊI topped this one with tomato, but realistically you could use avocado, tomato and onion combo, capsicum and MORE the possibilities really are endless!PREP/COOK π - 15 mins
π·π YOU'LL NEED ππ·
β’ 2 small cans of tuna, drained - you can use fresh water, lemon pepper etc whichever tuna you prefer
β’ 1 med shallot (onion) minced
β’ 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
β’ 1 tablespoons of lemon juice
β’ 1 tablespoon of minced parsley
β’ 1/8 of a spoon of salt
β’ pepper and salt, to taste
β’ 4 slices toasted whole grain bread
β’ 2 tomatoes sliced
β’ 1/2 grated cheese of any typeππ METHOD ππ
β’ Pre-heat broiler / grill
β’ Combine tuna, shallot, mayo, lemon juice, parsley, salt and pepper in a bowl
β’ Spread about 1/4 of the tuna mixture on each slice of toasted bread
β’ Top with tomato slices and cheese then place onto a baking sheet and broil/grill until the cheese is bubbling or golden brown - approx 3-5mins
