Personal Tips For Better Skin
Skin & Body
Are you breaking out?? Dry skin?? Here are my personal tips on how to improve your skin problems
Before attempting to treat your skin, try to find the cause. You could be allergic to something. Trial and error, or visiting an allergy specialist are the best ways of working these out. Personally, I got rid of milk from my diet and my skin improved within 10 days!
Try reducing the sugar and dairy intake in your diet. Simple sugars such as sweets and chocolate can make your skin worse, as can the likes of cheese and butter. Increase proteins, good fats, vitamins and minerals though
Cleansers such as BIORE and WITCH base their products on a natural, skin improving ingredient ie charcoal or witch hazel. These ingredients are typically great for the oily skin
No matter how oily your skin, ALWAYS moisturise Oily skin could be due to lack of moisture, the skin needs moisture and without it, it created its own, which is why your skin may be oily
Personally, green tea is a life saver Every few days I remove all makeup then place 2 damp Luke warm green tea bags on my worst bits of skin I sometimes put them over my eyes too if I'm tired
Get your 8 glasses a day of water Not only is this good for the skin but it's known to speed up metabolism and improve your general well being
Try to alternate makeup days Wear for one day, go without the next This gives your skin a well deserved rest
If you have very dry skin try epaderm, you put it on before and after showering or swimming, and also before bed, it locks in the moisture and keeps your skin soft I swore by this for when my eczema flared up
To reduce redness, scarring, ageing and sun damage rub bio oil onto skin at night
For those of you with dry skin, gentle cleansers such as those from Claris or Liz Earle are very good
