On A Budget? Cheap Easy DIY Turkey's!
Food & Drink
The pan and everything in the pan are all from the dollar tree! I got the holiday Oreos because the red filling goes with thanksgiving Only bought chocolate and vanilla icing. (You may want to grab a few colored icings or food coloring but I colored mine with the pixy sticks from the dollar store!
I covered the entire top of my base Oreo and placed the other Oreo on top like so
Cut your Reese miniature into 3/4. Eat that 1/4 leftover!
Place upside down on base with the flat side you cut flat against your top Oreo. Cover top of Reese with more chocolate icing
Now in the picture showing all the ingredients there is a box of round milk chocolate caramels. I hate malted milt balls so I grabbed these instead. (About 24 in a box). Anyways place your round candy on top of the Reese and hold it together with the icing
Totally optional! I'm cheap so I'm making colored icing. I poured three orange pixy sticks in a small container
And mixed in a spoon full of vanilla icing
I used tooth picks and sandwich baggys to decorate my turkey with the icing. (Cut a tiny opening in the corner of your sandwich bag to use like a piping bag) You may have bought colored icing so you don't have to worry about this
Next! The tail feathers!
I just happened to have jujubes and my plan was to put about three on each tooth pick. Unfortunately they're not easy to work with so I did one on each toothpick. I've seen other people use candy corn attached by icing. But be creative! Decide what works best for you
I made red icing using red pixy sticks for the feet. And there you go! Thanksgiving Turkey's.
