New Orleans Recipe For Making Stuffed Bell Peppers

  • Recipe for ten servings:

    1 1/2 pound of ground meat

    1 pound of shrimp

    Lump crab meat

    5 green bell peppers (color optional)

    Italian breadcrumbs

  • Instructions:

    Begin by filling a pot of water and bring it to a boil. While the water is boiling cut the bell peppers in half and clean. Place peppers into the water until they become soft. Season and cook meat in a saucepan and cook shrimp separately.

  • BAKING:

    When everything is done mix the shrimp, ground meat and crabmeat together. Use water and the Italian breadcrumbs to make the mixture stick. Place the peppers in a deep baking pan and fill with the mixture. Then sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for a crisp finish. Bake for about 20-30mins
