  • "MAKING A MURDERER" Steven Avery is released from prison after spending nearly 20 years inside for a crime he didn't commit only to be railroaded again. From hopeless to happy to confused & angry, you'll feel it all as this series exposes the failings of the Wisconsin justice system.

  • "BREAKING BAD" Series creator Vince Gilligan has credited Netflix on numerous occasions for helping to build the audience for "Breaking Bad."

The fall of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White across 62 episodes of "Breaking Bad" is mesmerizing… and it’s a perfectly bingeable show.

  • "BETTER CALL SAUL" Vince Gilligan made no secret of wanting to re-visit the world of Breaking Bad. All this awesome is thanks to Bob Odenkirk's portrayal of Saul Goodman, the corrupt lawyer who, despite the world he is in, has his ❤️ in the right place, even if he is in the wrong place.

  • "SONS OF ANARCHY" There's very good reason it is the highest rated show on FX ever - its Shakespeare-esque plot (think Hamlet on bikes), following the tumultuous lives of a motorcycle gang, has everyone who watches it gripped & is perfect for those looking for another Breaking Bad-style fix.

  • "NARCOS" Netflix's original drama about famed cocaine dealer Pablo Escobar illuminates his backstory while bringing him 1 step closer to his inevitable demise, all the while showing a somewhat endearing man consumed by his own ego.

Narcos is a much-needed prescription that'll scratch your itch.

  • "BLACK MIRROR" Charlie Booker’s British TV series "Black Mirror" became so popular that Netflix is actually making it one of its original shows.

Think of "Black Mirror" as the modern day "Twilight Zone," except it holds nothing back and it can be quite disturbing. Especially that first episode.

  • "JESSICA JONES" Jones takes subject matter too mature to show elsewhere & plops it in with an insane backstory that leaves you clicking on the next episode. The villain writers went for is cold-blooded & depraved & if you like your comic stories with a bit more grit, booze & sex scenes, this is it.

  • "FARSCAPE" The true successor to the original "Star Trek," the series follows John, an astronaut from Earth trapped on the other side of the universe, with a band of escaped prisoners. Crichton’s romance with Aeryn Sun was one for the ages.

  • "FIREFLY" Even FOX admitted that Joss Whedon’s "Firefly" shouldn’t have been cancelled so quickly. But this sci-fi series continues to bring in new fans on Netflix, and it’s very easy to blow through all 14 episodes. Netflix has served Whedon well (as creator of "Buffy," "Dollhouse," "Angel," etc.)

  • "FRINGE" Under-appreciated on FOX, "Fringe" was the modern day "X-Files" that created its own mythology & one of the most interesting depictions of an alternate Earth in recent memory.

"Fringe" was a truly special series, & it deserves to get the audience that it never had during its 5 seasons.

  • "MARTIN LUTHER" Idris Elba plays John Luther, a police detective who is incredibly self-destructive. Luther could solve almost any case, but he couldn’t save his marriage. John Luther also had a particularly interesting relationship with Alice Morgan, a killer who was even smarter than Luther.

  • "MAD MEN" We follow Don Draper, who works for an ad agency like most in the show, on an unexpected journey of discovery through his personal highs & lows. And that’s just scratching the surface of what the show's really about.

"Mad Men" earned its reputation as one of the best TV shows ever.

  • "SHERLOCK" This modernized version of Sherlock Holmes is mesmerizing & it helped make Benedict Cumberbatch & Martin Freeman into international stars. The only problem is that there’s not enough of it! Only 3 TV movie length episodes are made each season, with several years between the seasons.

  • "TWIN PEAKS" was "Lost" before "Lost" & "The X-Files" before "The X-Files." It was just relentlessly weird. With a huge fanbase, "Twin Peaks" is coming back to Showtime next year, so there’s still plenty of time to learn about Agent Cooper, BOB, & the Black Lodge. It’s trippy, but well worth it!

  • "THE TWILIGHT ZONE" With many attempts to remake the original, the 1st series still ranks among the best. Serling & other sci-fi writers used "The Twilight Zone’s" science fiction anthology format to explore morality tales with twist endings that are still famous almost 60 years later.

  • "HOUSE OF CARDS" If there ever was a poster boy for Netflix, House of Cards would be it. Cards' first season boasted direction by David Fincher & acting by Kevin Spacey & was addictive television. The reason: Netflix positively wanted you to binge watch, putting all episodes up at once.

  • "SHAMELESS" If you have ethical problems watching less-than-admirable people doing whatever it takes to make ends meet, Shameless isn't for you. Those that don't mind will seriously enjoy Shameless's grittier, sex- & money-driven take on the Modern Family comedy.

(I love this show. It's hilarious!)

  • "STRANGER THINGS" Leaning heavily on Spielberg, John Carpenter & Stephen King, the story revolves around a small town, a group of friends, a missing person & a dodgy science lab. Writing anything else would give away the myriad twists in a show that is full of brilliant creepy fun.
