Must Read- Affordable Remedies To Help Stop Dry Hands

posted in Skin & Body
  • Nothing's worse then the cold, dry winter months. Flu season and germs are spreading around town causing us to wash our hands more frequently.

    Hand creams and lotions can become quite expensive. In my honest opinion, I feel as though home remedies cost less and hydrate just as good as store bought products.

    Fun facts about avocados:
    * they are packed with vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants that are great for improving skin
    * rich in vitamin A content which helps repair and restore dry, damaged skin

    1) Mash the pulp of an avocado into a smooth paste and rub the paste on your dry skin. Let it sit on your skin for 10 minutes then rinse with cold water.

    2) Mash 1 avocado and stir in one-half cup of honey. Apply the mixture on your dry skin and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

    * high in protein
    * leaves a protective barrier on the skin and keeps in moisture
    * oatmeal is full of inflammatory and antioxidant properties that are good for the overall health of your skin

    1) Oatmeal baths are a great way to hydrate and sooth your dry, itchy skin. Pour one cup of plain oatmeal into your bathtub filled with warm water. Soak in the bath water for 15 to 30 minutes.

    2) Mix one mashed banana, one cup of ground oatmeal and add a little bit of lukewarm milk. Apply on your face and on your dry skin and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water.

    * is an excellent source of vitamin E
    * is good for your skins overall health
    * this oil is non-greasy and easily absorbs into the skin

    1) Warm up pure almond oil for about 30 seconds in the microwave. Massage the oil all over your body and wait half an hour before washing it off in the shower. Do this once a day.
