Movies That Will Make You A Better Person Just For Watching.
I know it sounds silly, that a movie can make you a better person...hear me out.
Emotion is what motivates us in life, creates bonds with the people we know, and the people we meet. Every one of these films is guaranteed to make you feel strong emotion which I think strengthens like a muscle.
Year of The Dog
The most heartbreaking cinematic death I've seen to date is that of a sweet little beagle, Pencil, whose passing spurs owner Molly Shannon to explore several hilarious but mostly heartbreaking avenues to alleviate her grief. I love animals and this movie had me weeping for a day.
You're Not You
This one is an emotional roller coaster of laughter, anger, and heaving-sobs of sadness. After you watch this movie you will be calling your best friend to tell her how much you love her and how much she means to you.
The Joy Luck Club
I saw this movie as a young girl and it has haunted me ever since. Beautiful, moving...the whole package.
I was talked into watching this by a friend and I wanted to watch it again as soon as the credits started.
Robert Pattinson produced and starred in this love story that will leave you breathless in the end.
A walk to Remember
It's based on a Nick Sparks book...enough said.
Hachi: A Dog's Tale.
A story so moving I was sobbing uncontrollably 20 minutes after the credits were done. Beautiful and heartbreaking and reminds us never take anyone we love for granted.
An epic love story that if you watch all the way through you will cry and believe in true love.
Powerful and haunting, I love this movie.
A Little Bit of Heaven
This is a classic tearjerker with some great laughs too.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
This is probably my all time favorite book turned into a movie. It is worth watching even if it doesn't seem like your thing when you read the plot summary because it's about love and fate and it has Brad Pitt in it.
A great movie you should just watch and not care if your friends see you crying.
A phenomenal film and tearjerker even if you don't like sports.
