Avocado Spread: Mash some avocado in a bowl with your favorite spices, garlic and onion, or go basic and simply spread it right out of the shell onto a piece of 100 percent whole grain bread.
Edamame Hummus Spread: 1 pound frozen shelled edamame, thawed 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 2 lemons) 2 tablespoons tahini 2 medium garlic cloves, smashed Coarse salt
Steam edamame in a basket insert set over a pan of simmering water until tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
Puree edamame, 3/4 cup water, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon salt in a food processor until smooth (mixture will be slightly grainy). Transfer to a bowl, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

1/2 kg ordinary black/brown mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/4 kg yellow mustard seeds
10 to 12 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
8 to 10 pods of garlic (lehsun)
salt to taste
1 tbsp sugar
a small piece of drumstick tree bark
vinegar as required for grinding
Remove stones from mustard seeds, using vinegar little at a time grind all the ingredients except sugar & salt to a thick, smooth paste, add sugar & salt to taste
Add a little more vinegar to make the paste into a sauce like consistency
Use a dry bottle & preserve. use a dry spoon whenever you require to use the sauce.
