Milk Pudding (Pudim De Leite)

This traditional Brazilian dessert has its origin on the Portuguese cuisine.
For the caramel:
1 cup of sugar
For the pudding:
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of milk
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
Preheat oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a heavy saucepan, cook and stir sugar over medium-low heat until melted and golden, about 15 minutes. Quickly pour into an ungreased Bundt cake pan or a cake pan with a hole in the center. Tilt the pan to coat the sides and bottom of the
pan with the caramel.
Using a blender, mix the condensed milk, milk, eggs and vanilla extract for about 1 minute. Pour the liquid into the pan.
Place a baking/roasting pan with hot water in the center rack of the oven. Put the pudding inside the baking pan.
Bake the pudding for 40 minutes. Allow pudding to cool before unmolding onto a plate. Refrigerate before serving.
