Oil for frying
Your favorite salsas or hot sauces
Start by browning the hamburger then draining fat. Follow instructions on seasoning package and cook.
I start by spreading the refried beans on one end of the tortilla. Do not fill more than a quarter of the section, just make sure it's spread all the way across the tortilla. Next take a spoonful of the hamburger and also spread from side to side, then sprinkle with your cheese. Next just simply roll the tortilla making sure they are pretty tight and use toothpick to hold together.
Heat oil and start frying! I would recommended only doing 3-4 at a time.
Cook on each side 2-3 minutes or until they start to become golden brown!
* BE VERY CAREFUL OF OIL *
The oil kept popping up and shooting everywhere due to the liquids from the hamburger coming out!
Simply lay them out on paper towels to drain excess oil and after they have cooled a bit take the toothpicks out and they will keep their rolled form on their own :)
I serve with some Spanish rice or a nice salad and have sour cream and salsa for dipping!
I know the refried beans aren't typically a part of a taquito recipe but I thought it added extra flavor!
These will be a crowd pleaser for all ages at parties or small get togethers. You can even make with shredded chicken or ground turkey!
