  • Ingredients:

400 g chickpeas
Lemon juice
Cayenne pepper
Cumin
Coriander
Chilli Powder
2 Cloves Garlic
Jalapeños

If you're not a lover of spicy food you can just leave out the chilli powder and jalapeños.

  • Drain juice from chickpeas into cup/jug. DON'T throw away juice as we need this for our oil substitute.

  • Put chickpeas and garlic into mixer. Blitz for about 1min on high.

If you don't have a blender no problem you can mash the chickpeas and Mince the garlic. It will take longer but still worth it😊

  • It should be this (not so attractive) consistency after 1 minute in the blender.

  • Add:
1/2 tablespoon of Cayenne pepper
1/2 tablespoon of Cumin
1/4 tablespoon of Coriander
2 tablespoons of Lemon juice
1/2 tablespoon of Chilli powder

If you are using pickled jalapeños use 2 tablespoons of jalapeño juice. If using fresh jalapeños that's fine you can add them at the end.
