"Love Notes From Home"
Family & Kids
My husband has been deployed for his first time, and it's a long one. Having two small kids at home, some may argue that the deployment is harder for the spouse leaving, keeping this in mind, I decided to make something to take his mind off missing home.
In this jar, I cut little slips of paper and wrote different things on them. There are a little more than the number of days for his deployment, just because sometimes you don't get to leave when you think you will be. On these slips I wrote some riddles, jokes, "why I love you", "remember when", along with some other fun activities. I placed an answer key in the jar as well, but he'll have to find it to get the answers to his riddles.
This is something that he can open everyday, a love note from home, to take his mind off of not being home.
Other slips have doodles from the kids, as well as inspirational pick me ups for tougher days.
I advise that you make one for yourself as it really is good to have these to look forward to everyday.
The first one he opened was a good one...
Sometimes it's the little things that keep you going. I know it's something he can look forward to, and make his day a little brighter.
All you need:
Plastic jar, I got mine at the dollar store
Slips of paper
Any thing you want to decorate. 😊
