    Cuticle cutters
    An orange stick
    Olive oil
    Lemon juice
    Baking soda
    Toothpaste
    A paint brush
  • Step 1:
You'll want to start out with nails that have no polish on them. The first thing you'll want to do is trim your nails, if they aren't the right shape or length cut them first with clippers and then file them to make the edges smooth.

  • Step 2:
Push your cuticles back using an orange stick (not a stick that is orange, but rather that is the tools name), and cut off any dead cuticles. (Side note: If the skin around your nails peels you can use a cuticle cutter to cut that as well to keep it from peeling to the point of bleeding)

  • Step 3:
Buff your nails. Be sure to follow the steps as printed on each side of the buffer. Be thorough and be sure to get by the creases of the nail. This has a huge impact on how shiny your nails can be.

  • Step 4:
Mix toothpaste, baking soda, and lemon juice together as a paste. You won't need very much of it, so don't make a ton. Once you have the paste, use a paint brush to apply the paste to each nail. Let the paste sit for about a minute before washing it off. This will not only clean and strengthen your nails, it will also leave them looking healthier and a bit paler.

  • Step 5:
Rub olive oil onto your nails, you can use a brush or your fingers, just be sure it rubs into your nails. This will add a nice shine to your nails, and it also keeps them healthy.

  • This should leave your nails looking healthy and shiny. To keep them shiny, I would suggest buffing them often as well as applying oil to them. Also, to keep them healthy I would suggest keeping away from polish. Please like, share, and save. And I hope you found these tips to be helpful. ^_^
