  • Step 1:

Back-comb at the crown and spray all over with a bit of Texture Takeover for some "oomph." Create a ponytail at the crown of the head; make sure you use elastics that are clear or close in color to your client's hair.

  • Step 2:

Pin up the ponytail you just created and gather hair for a second ponytail under the first; make it in line with the ears, about 1-1/2 inches under the first ponytail.

Let down the first ponytail and split into two sections. Pull the second ponytail up through the split of the first, and clip that pony up, leaving the hair from the first ponytail down.

Using the hair from the first pony that is down, make another ponytail and secure with an elastic.

  • Step 5:

Repeat the first four steps until you have as many ponytails/"bubbles" as you would like. Make sure to leave enough hair to create the fishtail braid. Stretch the hair in elastics a bit so it appears fuller, then fishtail braid the remaining hair.

  • Step 6:

While holding the end of your braid with slight tension--enough to keep the braid together but not so much that hair can't pull through a bit--stretch the fishtail braid from bottom to top. Don't overdo it if you're worried about it being too extreme; you can always stretch more later.

  • Step 7:

Secure with an elastic and spray all over with Fave4 Style Stay and Fave4 Flex Reflect for hold and shine.

You're done! Good luck!
