How to Wash Your Hair to Encourage Healthy Hair
So this girl is doing it wrong. Comb your hair BEFORE you shower, not after. Wet hair is a lot more fragile and easy to damage. Combing before a shower also makes your hair tangle-free, which means less split ends, and as a bonus, it stimulates your scalp!
I like to use natural shampoo, but I'll make a specific tip on shampoo brands later. So now that your hair is brushed, hop into the shower and wet your hair fully. Apply a quarter-sized dollop of shampoo (more for longer hair), and gently rub from the roots to the tips.
Now we don't want this much shampoo, but to make the shampoo reach its full potential, instead of rinsing out your lathered up hair, massage your scalp. Every so often pull gently on the roots of your hair. Then continue adding handfuls of warm water and massaging it in to emulsify the shampoo.
Time to rinse! You want to rinse until your hair squeaks. Trust me, you'll feel it when it starts to squeak. Try to squeeze out the hair and avoid treating it roughly.
Karen Gillan and Matt Smith are cute. Yes, I'm running out of hair pics. Condition only from your shoulders down. While it sits, wash your body or something. Washing out conditioner is different. Your hair will NOT be squeaky. When done, spray with cold water for extra shine and to close cuticles.
Yay! Now just pat your hair dry. Don't rub! Remember. Wet hair is sensitive! Just squeeze and pat. And there you have it! A complete hair washing routine. Please like and follow for more tips. :)
