Commercial body scrubs can sell for $15 to $25 a jar and a professional body scrub at a spa can go for an average of $100. This at-home body scrub, however, serves the same purpose at a fraction of the cost. This lemon sugar scrub will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.
1/2 fresh lemon, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tbls of olive oil, 1 tbls of organic honey, 1 medium sized tupperware bowl with lid
Lemon – A natural source of Vitamin C; an ingredient commonly used to lighten sun and age spots and even out skin tone; A natural astringent that tightens pores and brightens the complexion.

Honey – A natural source of anti-oxidants making it a perfect ingredients.
Using a zester or the smallest grater size on your cheese grater, zest the lemon peel.
In a bowl, combine the sugar and grated lemon peel, so that the peel is evenly distributed through the mixture.
Once the dry ingredients are thoroughly mixed, add the oil. Using your hands or a fork, combine the oil with the sugar mix until the sugar is completely saturated. Set aside.
Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes and then check to make sure you added enough oil. The sugar will have separated from the oil, with a thin layer of oil on top and the sugar on the bottom. There should be about 1/2 an inch of oil on top. If not, add more oil now and mix it again.
Scoop the mixture into an airtight container.
To use, gently rub the scrub in a circular motion over damp skin. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
