How to Keep Split Ends Away (Even If You Use Heat)
(Future knowledge before we start) Shampoo that tells you it repairs split ends is not telling the truth. They're is no way to repair split ends besides just cutting them off but they're is many ways to prevent them from happening.
Using the right brush and when to use it has a lot to do with reducing split ends. When your hair is wet brush your hair with a comb. When it's dry brush it with a regular brush.
If your going to use a straightener once your hair is dry, try not to also use a blow dryer to dry it unless your in a rush. If you can wait, let it air dry.
Never ever use a towel to dry your hair. The motion of drying your hair WILL cause strands to snap. Also the chemicals from the towel cause major damage in your hair. Instead dry your hair with a cotton tshirt, paper towel, or even toilet paper will do. Anything to keep away from towels.
Also never go to bed with a tight hairstyle on. (Pony tails, buns etc) In your sleep this pulls your hairs and creates discomforts with your locks. It's very bad for your hairs.
If you do want to go to bed with your hair in some type of style try a braid. Braids trap in moisture, cause less split ends and can actual make your hair grow faster! You can also put your wet hair in a braid right after you've been in the shower.
Also if you try to brush your hair while its tangled it's going to cause MANY split ends. Try a detangelr for curly hair. It makes your hair smoother as well as smells very good.
These are my favorite.
Finally once you start straightening your hair never go without heat protection spray. I always use it when I use heat tools on my hair because it works so well. It's just protection from the heat.
