How to Get Blue Peekaboo Hair! Tried and tested!
I know, I apologise, it's a snapchat 😂 Peekaboo colour is colour that's underneath the hair, covered by the top layer of the hair. I'll just let you guys know that this is my first time dying my hair and I did a decent job! So if I can do it, anyone can do it 😂 Read on to find out how!
And I also apologise, this is the only way I could actually upload the photos.
Picture one, which is me (ew 😂), is what you're gonna need, basically! Gloves, clips for sectioning your hair just above your ear which is the hair that won't be touched by the dye.......<
<.....the dye itself (I used Crazy Colour in Bubblegum Blue), a tinting brush, bowl, an old shirt, old towel and Crazy Colour neutraliser, but you could also use a colour safe conditioner.
What you gotta do is squeeze in the neutraliser/conditioner until the bowl is halfway full, then add in about roughly two tablespoons of colour and mix. Don't worry, the colour that it is right now isn't what it'll actually look like. Add in more colour, depending on how dark or light that you'd like it. Once you have the desired vibrancy, on to the painting!
Apologies for not having taken a photo of me painting my hair, but it's pretty hard when you've to use both hands, no mirror to have behind your head and nowhere to put your phone 😂
<..Section off the hair just above your ear and tie it up out of the way. This section won't be touched by the dye. Dampen the undersection of your hair and then, starting at the roots, thickly paint on the colour onto your scalp. Massage in the colour like it were shampoo and once your roots are covered, apply the rest of the colour to the rest of the length of your hair like it were conditioner. Once it's saturated, tie it out of the way and leave it for thirty minutes. I left mine on for forty minutes. My cousin, who is a hairdresser, told me to double the time the packaging says. ... <
<....Once the time is up, it's time to rinse it out!
Use cool water to rinse your hair once the time is up. DO NOT USE SHAMPOO! It'll wash out the colour completely! Rinse until the water runs clean and then pat the hair dry with an old towel.
Apply heat protectant, dry your hair and style if you'd like to.
And this is the end result!
I love it so so much! My hair is gorgeously soft and I've still a tonne of product left so I can touch it up if needs be! I'll be updating this as time goes on to let you all know how well, or bad, the colour fades.
I hope that this tip has helped you all if you've been curious about colouring your hair! This is another addition to my own tried and tested tips, which I may now call TATTs 😂 Let me know how this worked out for you guys, if you try it!
