How To Wash Your Make Up Brushes

  • First up you will need some baby shampoo

  • For each brush, put a small bit of shampoo into the palm of your hand.

  • One brush at a time, you will rub the brush in the shampoo until it works up a lather (may be a dirty lather depending on how dirty your brushes are!)

  • After working up a lather, bring the brush over to the sink, and pointing the brush downwards (*very important!!!) rinse the brush until the water runs clear.

Brush the brush gently into a towel and reshape.

Repeat this process for every brush.

    * this is important as water should never get down into the bottom of the bristles (underneath the brush handle)

  • Put all brushes hanging over a ledge to dry. This is the best and quickest way as the air will get at each side of the brush.

  • Don't forget to also lather some soap into your make up brush holder and rinse it off!!

  • The best time to clean your brushes is at night. You can leave them to dry overnight and they'll be ready to use the next morning!

Try to clean your brushes twice a week!!
