How To Take Bright And Professional Photos
I don't use professional gear in terms of taking my photos, just a camera and the natural environment are all you need if you're starting out. With that said, I like to take photos during 'golden-hour' which is between 2-4 pm, and in some cases this time can change with the varied regions you are located in. For all you Vancouver readers/bloggers out there, golden-hour appears to be around 3-3:30 for best results.
Avoid undesirable shadows is a must in achieving professional looking photos. As mentioned earlier, opt for posing away from the sun.
To summarize this post, I have included some point-form notes for the best tips and tricks to achieve better looking photos.
1. Take your photos in natural lighting, opt for a sunny day without facing direct towards the sunlight.
2. Avoid undesirable shadows with choosing a spot that doesn't provide too many distractions such as leaves hanging from trees. Be careful with posing directly against a building because it can provide shadows with your figure and takes away the focus of the photos.
3. Take your photos during golden-hour, this can be between the later afternoon time. To find the golden-hour in your area, check out golden-hour.com
