  • Here are some tips on how to make it through university and rocking your exams!

  • First, you need a good nutrition. It's the basic element if you want to be motivated and have energy throughout the whole day.

  • Following on the same thought, you NEED sleep. If you think you can study all night and still rock your exam, you are WRONG! A good night sleep is crucial for your memory to keep all of this information you brought in.

  • Working out is also beneficial for your memory. It's proven that a 20 minutes walk will make you remember more stuff. So, dont be scared to go outside or to the gym

  • Lets be honest, you MUST study to ace your exams. You should start studying at least a week before the exam. This way you would be able to go over all the material and revise without being stressed.

  • When you start to study, you should have everything that you need next to you, so you don't always have to get up and end up watching tv or eating.. You know who you are ;)

  • A clean study space is key if you want to avoid any distraction. Don't sit in the kitchen where your whole family is passing by and talking to you everytime.

  • If you're not able to find a quiet place I recommend you to listen to music. Classical music has been proven to help concentration and memory, but whatever music that is not too aggressive or disturbing will do the job. If music doesn't work for you try to listen to white noise.

  • CLOSE  your cellphone or if you're like me and hate to close it, you can put it on silent, not vibrate, and put it upside down.

  • Eat chewing gum while studying and eat the same flavour gum during your exam. Your memory is made up of all your senses so use them!

  • Reward yourself as you are studying. If you're in advance, reward yourself with watching your favorite tv show. Any kind of reward is good, it's called positive reinforcement!

  • If your like me and you don't want to underline or write in your books, a good alternative is the use of post it. You can write down your notes, and stick it with the right page. I really recommend taking notes while reading, otherwise it gets boring and you won't remember the materials as much.

  • For those of you who study with pdf or power point, you should take your notes directly on the page. With a pdf, click on the dialogue box and place it on the desired page. With a powerpoint, you have to first "enable editing" and then you can write your comments on the bottom of each slides.

  • On the morning of your exam, take a healthy breakfast (don't skip it) and drink coffee as it has been proven to improve  concentration
